Milwaukee’s favorite holiday celebration kicks off at 6 pm on Thursday, November 20 with its highly anticipated grand opening. As the official start of the Milwaukee holiday season, the night includes live music and entertainment, a visit from Santa Claus and a dynamic fireworks show.
After the lights are flipped, fest–goers are invited to tour all the sights with FREE Jingle Bus rides! Stay tuned for more details!
THREE DOWNTOWN PARKS TRANSFORMED INTO FANCIFUL SCENES
The 10th Annual Milwaukee Holiday Lights Festival will illuminate the streets and parks of downtown Milwaukee, November 20, 2008 to January 4, 2009. Each year, holiday spirit beams bright as three downtown parks are enlivened with a kaleidoscope of color. Animated scenes, dancing luminaries and vibrant tree lights gleam throughout Pere Marquette Park, Cathedral Square Park and Zeidler Union Square, creating a magical winter scene for all to enjoy.
HOLIDAY TOURS ON THE CONVENIENT JINGLE BUS
Marvel at the spectacular sights of the season aboard the convenient Jingle Bus, a Coach USA bus that takes visitors on a 40–minute tour of downtown’s winter wonderland. For $1 per person, visitors can relish in the holiday spirit while admiring a festive panorama. The tour is narrated by Milwaukee Downtown’s Public Service Ambassadors to acquaint riders with key attractions and landmarks. The Jingle Bus will operate Thursdays through Sundays from 6 to 9 pm at The Shops of Grand Avenue.
